Padel39 launches the first premium padel club in North Austin
Padel started in 1969 when a wealthy businessman, Enrique Corcuera, built a small tennis court with side walls at his holiday home in Acapulco, Mexico. Fifty-five years later, padel has captivated the world with 26 million players in 90 countries.
In 2023, padel captured the heart of the Padel39 founder, William Boyce, who explains: “Having played tennis my whole life, I discovered that padel was incredibly addictive. It is easy to play, fun to learn, and yet challenging to master.”
Sports celebrities like Lionel Messi, Max Verstappen, and David Beckham agree. They often enjoy playing padel with friends for exercise and fun, leading to some media outlets claiming that padel is a lifestyle for the VIP circles. But, Padel39 thinks differently.

Padel’s success is unquestionable, as it is the world’s fastest-growing sport. Padel39 is spearheading the growth of padel in the USA, which, according to the United States Padel Association, will reach 10 million players and 30,000 courts by 2029.
The Padel39 founding team scoured the globe for the best padel experiences and selected its first location near the Q2 Stadium and The Domain in North Austin, Texas.

This week, Padel39 released Founding Memberships for the North Austin club. Due to demand, the 100 spaces available sold out within 24 hours.
But players needn’t worry. Elite and Padel membership packages remain available, and Non-Members will be welcome to play when the club opens next month.
Padel39 plans to open at least six new locations in Texas within two years, including Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
